Position Overview
As a Radiological Nuclear Specialist, you will coordinate and engage in the examination and treatment of patients utilizing radionuclides, adhering to NRC regulations under the supervision of a radiologist.
Key Responsibilities
1. Uphold established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
2. Maintain proficiency in all procedures, equipment, and regulations related to Nuclear Medicine.
3. Conduct necessary documentation and testing to comply with NRC licensure requirements.
4. Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the work area, prioritizing the physical and emotional well-being of patients in our care.
5. Interact with department staff, nursing staff, physicians, and patients to facilitate a comprehensive approach to patient care, including pre and post-exam education.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduation from an accredited JRC program and possession of a current BLS CPR Card.
Experience:
ARRT (American Registry Of Radiological Technologists) (N) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Engagement in educational programs as per departmental policy, participation in staff meetings, and staying updated on policy changes and technical advancements. Demonstrate safe operational principles of nuclear medicine equipment and radionuclide administration, along with knowledge of hospital procedures, including infection control.
Licensure:
Ohio Licensure required. Registered Nuclear Technologist/Nuclear experience preferred.
