Scion Staffing is excited to announce a search for a skilled Financial Operations Manager for our client, a prestigious educational organization. This is a fantastic full-time, hybrid, direct-hire opportunity to become part of a dedicated and mission-focused team.
Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Manager will oversee the daily functions of the finance department, which includes managing the receipt, disbursement, reporting, and accounting of all financial resources allocated to the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the executive leadership to formulate budgets and analyze budget reports; process budget transfers as necessary and authorize purchase requests.
- Maintain the financial account structure; initiate or approve all monthly accounting entries.
- Compile year-end financial statements, including necessary adjustments for accrual-based reporting, and prepare financial documents in accordance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines.
- Oversee the administration of state grant program reports and manage the monthly reimbursement requests for expenditures.
- Generate financial reports and provide training for budget managers to enhance their utilization of financial data.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
- Invest institutional funds with the state treasury.
- Manage and process all payments related to employee benefits, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
- Verify and process disability claims for employees when applicable.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- In-depth knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, fund accounting, and computerized accounting systems is essential.
- A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$95,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) matching program.
