About the Role

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing our mission to transform healthcare. As a Psychiatry Resident, you'll play a vital role in providing care to patients under the supervision of a psychiatry attending physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care for psychiatry department patients in inpatient, emergency department, and consultation settings.
  • Communicate effectively with physician leadership, nursing leadership, clinical staff, patients, and families.
  • Accurately document patient encounters and ensure timely completion of records.
  • Adhere to the Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Board Code of Conduct.
  • Participate in educational programs for professional staff.
Requirements
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • In good standing with the residency program.
  • Residents/fellows on a J-1 status are ineligible for moonlighting privileges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from a recognized medical school.
  • PGY-3 or above, as approved by the Program Director.
  • PRITE score > 40% nationally on the most recent PRITE examination.
