As a Medical Office Support Professional at LONE STAR FAMILY HEALTH CENTER, you will play a vital role in our healthcare organization by overseeing all front office functions.

This includes maintaining positive patient relations, managing appointments, handling telephone duties, and ensuring seamless registration processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and providers to ensure smooth interactions
  • Scheduling: Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments according to their needs
  • Pre-Visit Planning: Remind patients of upcoming appointments and plan pre-visit activities
  • Customer Service: Forward telephone calls and follow up on return calls to provide exceptional customer service
  • Record Keeping: Verify patient information and update records as necessary
  • Insurance Verification: Process insurance verification and demographic updates
  • Checkout Procedures: Document follow-up appointments and properly check out patients
  • Administrative Duties: Perform copying, faxing, and cash collection duties

We are seeking an individual with strong communication skills to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with patients and providers, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
