ComForCare Home Care Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Home Care team in Kingsville. As a CNA in our Home Care business, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to seniors and individuals in need, allowing them to maintain their independence and live comfortably in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and document medication administration accurately.
  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage in meaningful conversations to enhance the well-being of clients.
  • Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and client preferences.
  • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as needed.
  • Observe and report changes in clients' health and well-being, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and report any concerns or issues to the care coordinator or nurse.
Qualifications:
  • Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Texas
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Previous experience as a CNA in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care setting is preferred
  • Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to improve the lives of clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and adapt to the changing needs of clients
  • Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for the position)
