Position Overview
The Regional Retail Operations Manager is tasked with supervising store activities and providing guidance to the Corporate Store teams.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Regional Manager encompass but are not limited to the following:
- Overseeing store managers and collaborating with category experts.
- Driving sales performance, profitability, and financial objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with all employment, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Delivering an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Retail Operations.
Job Duties
Supervise, direct, and manage all key performance indicators (KPIs) of the assigned corporate stores to achieve budgeted sales and margins. Control labor and other operational costs while maximizing overall store performance to meet budgeted EBITDA.
Conduct regular visits to stores, assisting store managers with the budgeting process, aligning operational and financial objectives, setting pricing strategies, and reviewing ongoing performance metrics to achieve established goals.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Manage all corporate store managers within the region, focusing on attracting, selecting, and nurturing store-level talent. Train new store managers and department heads in assigned locations, define and delegate store manager responsibilities, and conduct performance management processes at the store level. Motivate, reward, and discipline employees as necessary while addressing escalated customer and associate concerns. Foster positive labor relations and resolve grievances.
Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal employment, health, and civil code regulations, including full compliance with applicable safety, health, and sanitation laws in all assigned stores. Promptly escalate any issues to Retail Operations leadership.
Regularly visit all corporate stores to conduct financial assessments focusing on overall store performance and individual departments. Provide solutions, best practices, and operational evaluations.
Review financial reports, comparing actual results to budgeted figures and identifying areas for improvement. Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and track progress against objectives.
Formulate team action plans for Store Managers and support staff to implement at the store level, reviewing progress and results with store managers and support teams while escalating concerns to Retail Operations leadership.
Hold yourself and your team accountable for achieving financial targets, executing weekly promotions, fostering a sales-driven culture, and generating excitement in all corporate stores.

Required Skills
Specialized Knowledge:
Proficiency in numerical calculations necessary for consulting store managers on various topics, including gross margins, sales distributions, labor percentages, inventory shrinkage, budgets, financial outcomes, forecasts, and projections.
Special Skills:
Ability to perform numerical calculations to complete, interpret, and submit required records and reports; basic accounting skills to explain how different operational aspects relate to overall financial results.
Physical Abilities:
Must occasionally lift or carry up to 75 pounds and frequently handle moderate weights. Successful performance requires specific vision capabilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus, as well as sufficient mobility to respond quickly to emergencies and dexterity to maintain and clean equipment.
Other Requirements:
Food Safety Sanitation Certification is required; frequent travel to stores is necessary.
Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience in retail operations, with successful participation in a management training program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in General Studies, Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management.
