Clinical Neuropsychologist

Job Summary:

The Psychologist at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, a joint venture with Select Medical, provides expert psychodiagnostic evaluations, psychological counseling, and crisis intervention to patients and families. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide recommendations and consultations to staff members regarding patient care matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations, including anamnestic information and mental status examination, to determine diagnostic impressions and develop treatment recommendations.

• Provide individual, marital-family, and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention, to patients and families.

• Prepare and deliver timely written and oral psychological reports to medical and clinical staff.

• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain a diverse clinical caseload that meets the needs of our patients.

• Participate in departmental and rehabilitation team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.

• Contribute to the education and training of medical residents, patients, staff members, and others as directed.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Psychology required.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Psychologist is mandatory.

• One or more years of post-doctoral experience in Psychology is required.

Preferred Experience: Neuropsychology degree and neuropsychological practice within a rehabilitation setting.
