Salary Range:

The estimated compensation for teaching a standard five-credit course ranges from $8,531 to $9,890, depending on salary points.

Compensation for courses offered during the Summer Session may differ from those taught in the academic year.

Percent Time:
Variable, contingent upon the assigned course load.

Anticipated Start:
Appointments are subject to the instructional needs of the hiring unit and the availability of funding. This recruitment is open for initial appointments made in the upcoming academic year.

Position Duration:

Appointments are generally made for one or more quarters of the academic year, including fall, winter, and spring, with potential opportunities during the Summer Session.

Position Description: The Education Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a continuous pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach in various content areas within Education, such as mathematics, science, English, social science education, educational technology, critical studies in education, English language development, and literacy.

Candidates holding a Ph.D. in education or an Ed.D. are highly encouraged to apply.
The Education Department is dedicated to providing research and instructional programs that address the needs of public education in a diverse society.

Our primary focus is on enhancing the education of culturally and linguistically diverse students and the training of educators who serve them.

Internal candidates will receive priority consideration.
The hiring unit will not sponsor employment-eligible immigration statuses for this position.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (required at time of application):
M.A./M.S. or higher (or equivalent foreign degree) in education or a related field.
Demonstrated teaching experience through college-level teaching or TA experience.
