Echocardiography Specialist

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echocardiography Specialist to join their team in Tucson, Arizona.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and qualifications to perform diagnostic procedures, set up and adjust cardiac imaging equipment, and provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.
- Set up and adjust all cardiac imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams.
- Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
- Perform routine and complex studies and assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
- Analyze patient's clinical history fully (from patient, physician, and/or medical record) in order to identify the purpose of the exam, frame the clinical question(s) that the exam is intended to answer, and expand the exam as necessary to answer the clinical question & explore possible differential diagnosis/pathology if abnormality is recognized.
- Adapt the exam to optimize imaging when body habitus and/or immobility present technical limitations.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Certification Required: Registry Eligible and Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
- Certification Preferred: ARDMS- RDCS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) – RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer).
- EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School or Echocardiography.
- WORK EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months of experience in Echocardiography OR graduated from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School or Echocardiography program containing Sonography/echocardiography experience in a clinical setting.
The estimated salary for this position is around $45-$60 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
