UnityPoint Health - OB/GYN Clinic Medical Assistant or LPN

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Clinic team at UnityPoint Health. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to provide exceptional care to our patients.

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant or LPN in our OB/GYN Clinic, you will be responsible for assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, preparing examination rooms, and ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. You will also escort patients to exam rooms, obtain medical history, and vital signs, and assist with medical procedures, including pap smears, prenatal care, and minor surgeries.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures in the OB/GYN department.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain medical history, and vital signs.
  • Assist with medical procedures, including pap smears, prenatal care, and minor surgeries.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Provide support and comfort to patients during their visit to our practice.
Qualifications
