Responsibilities- Prepare exam rooms for use, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Prep the patient chart with pre-visit planning, reviewing the next working day's schedule and identifying gaps in care.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and direct patient flow for maximum efficiency.
- Collect and document patient information, clinical data, and other relevant information.
- Obtain additional data from patients/significant others, EKG/lab/diagnostic test results, and other historical data.
- Confirm and clarify written orders prior to implementation of delegated tasks.
- Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens for on-site and remote-site testing.
- Assist with front office duties, including greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurances.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
