Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of inmates
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address mental health needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Provide crisis intervention and psychotherapy services as needed
- Consult with correctional staff on mental health issues and provide training on treatment approaches
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Valid medical license in California
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Experience working in a correctional setting or with a similar population
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
