Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities, including articulation, fluency, and language processing.
  • Therapy Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services aimed at enhancing students' communication skills and academic performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans to achieve effective outcomes.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification: Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience: Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a full-time caseload effectively.
