Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in the water and wastewater sector. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and execution of electrical systems for various water treatment facilities and associated infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for water treatment facilities and pumping stations.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, specifications, and project cost estimates.
  • Perform electrical load assessments, power distribution evaluations, and equipment selection.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation components.
  • Adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Conduct technical reviews and provide expert guidance on electrical engineering matters.
  • Troubleshoot electrical challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments for proposed electrical systems.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering related to water and wastewater management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally within the water and wastewater field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD or similar applications.
  • Experience in designing electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, motor controls, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and control systems integration.
  • Knowledge of medium voltage systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
