**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced speech or debate coach to guide a rookie team at our school on their paths to and through college. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of competition, including identifying tournaments, registration, securing judges, tryouts, motivating and preparing students, and keeping school leaders informed of progress.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify and register for tournaments, competitions, and events
- Secure judges and coaches for competitions
- Conduct tryouts and select team members
- Motivate and prepare students for competitions
- Keep school leaders informed of progress and updates
- Develop and implement a coaching plan to achieve team goals
**Requirements**
- Experience in speech or debate coaching
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Flexibility to work outside of regular school hours
**Benefits**
- Annual stipend of $4500-$9000 based on experience and contracted hours per week
- Semi-monthly payments
**Additional Information**
Coaches will receive an annual stipend of $4500-$9000 based on experience and contracted hours per week, paid semi-monthly. If at any point during the year, you stop performing these responsibilities before they are fully completed, for any reason, your stipend will be adjusted in accordance.
