We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to oversee the daily operations of our Day School, ensuring a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for young children from 6 weeks to 6 years old.
This is a full-time year-round position at our resort in Warren, Vermont.
We estimate that this position will pay around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on similar positions in the area.
About the Role- The Lead Caregiver will be responsible for planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program each day.
- They will carry out planned activities implemented by the Room Leader, feed the children according to schedule, and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- The successful candidate will also need to be familiar with emergency procedures, ensure children are supervised at all times, provide opportunities for sleep and rest, and implement positive discipline when needed.
- CDA or associate's degree in early childhood education and two years' experience working with groups of children, or BA/BS with four higher education courses in early childhood related topics and two years' experience working with groups of children.
- Three positive childcare references, annual CPR certification, biannual First Aid Certification, and training annually focusing on skills and competencies related to the ages or developmental stages of the children in the Caregiver's Group.
