Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer ProfessionalLocation: Charlotte, North Carolina

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead our client's CapEx projects, including new equipment installations and automation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who enjoys improving production processes, solving complex problems, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings and files using industry-standard software.
  • Develop 3D models in SolidWorks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Design and implement process improvements, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction, optimization, and efficiency gains.
  • Evaluate and validate new equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects, including capital equipment justifications and CER proposals.
  • Conduct Value Stream Analysis and facilitate Kaizen Events.
  • Cultivate knowledge sharing and mentoring on Lean principles, equipment maintenance, and operations.
  • Ensure all equipment, processes, and tooling meet quality, capability, and safety standards.
  • Participate in plant safety and environmental initiatives, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in mechanics, equipment, metal forming, and finishing processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean tools and applications.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks.

Compensation Package: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, plus up to 10% bonus/profit sharing and a 401K plan with a 5% company match.
