Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload from inception to post-trial
  • Attend court conferences, oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Prepare pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Prepare timely reports regarding case status and ongoing activities
  • Prioritize work based on deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with clients, senior attorneys, and paralegals
  • Meet billing requirements
  • Complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of ProLaw a plus

Qualifications:

Member in Good Standing of the New York bar, admission to the federal District Courts a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Approximately 2000 billable hours expected per year
