Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care, participating in patient/family/staff education, and maintaining current knowledge and standards of professional nursing practices.

Essential Functions:
  • Utilize knowledge, skill, and judgment in providing direct and indirect patient care.
  • Participate in patient/family/staff education.
  • Provide safe practices in all aspects of patient care and activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge and standards of professional nursing practices.
Secondary Functions:
  • All other duties as required by management.
  • Shift charge nurse when assigned.
  • Makes patient care assignments based on skill, experience, and acuity of the patient.
  • Directs and precepts staff as needed/assigned.
  • Participates in quality process improvements in department.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, preferred.
  • Current RN license for the State of Texas or current compact state license.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records systems.
  • Consistent work history and longevity with previous employers.
