Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Memorial Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum potential and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to educate them on treatment plans and progress.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or entry-level equivalent.
  • Current licensure in the State of Illinois without previous disciplinary action.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Working Conditions

This position is performed in a hospital setting with occasional exposure to environmental variations, above-normal noise levels, and/or unpleasant substances.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of weights up to 50 pounds.
Mental Demands
  • Ability to work under stress and adapt to changing conditions.
