Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
About the JobThis is a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week, 8 hours a day, and a guaranteed pay package. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and hold BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required.
Responsibilities- Prepare radiopharmaceutical agents and administer them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images.
- Provide technical support to physicians or others who diagnose, care for, and treat patients and to researchers who investigate the uses of radioactive drugs.
- Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
- Assist patients during procedures and ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
- 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
