Job OpportunityWe are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Tuba/Euphonium. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate majors, coaching chamber music, and performing as a soloist/orchestral/collaborative artist.
Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in a variety of settings, including large ensembles and private lessons.
- Develop and maintain a strong program of chamber music coaching and performance.
- Establish a national and international profile as a performer and artist.
- Recruit, retain, and mentor a diverse and talented student body.
- Provide service to the profession, the College of Music, and the University.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
- Master's degree and/or commensurate performance experience at the professional level.
- Significant orchestral, chamber, and solo experience.
- Evidence of successful recruiting and studio teaching at the university level.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues across disciplines.
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
- Evidence of a national and/or international reputation.
