Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Tuba/Euphonium. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate majors, coaching chamber music, and performing as a soloist/orchestral/collaborative artist.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in a variety of settings, including large ensembles and private lessons.
  • Develop and maintain a strong program of chamber music coaching and performance.
  • Establish a national and international profile as a performer and artist.
  • Recruit, retain, and mentor a diverse and talented student body.
  • Provide service to the profession, the College of Music, and the University.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree and/or commensurate performance experience at the professional level.
  • Significant orchestral, chamber, and solo experience.
  • Evidence of successful recruiting and studio teaching at the university level.

  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues across disciplines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
  • Evidence of a national and/or international reputation.
