About the Role

The Financial Reporting and Audit Specialist will be responsible for supporting ENGIE Canada and ENGIE North America's financial reporting and compliance team in coordinating external audits to meet statutory and partnership reporting requirements.

This role involves providing assistance in financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and notes disclosures. You will also compile and update financial statements and supporting documents for audit and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, you will perform variance analysis on selected expenses and revenue accounts, assist in addressing internal and external audit inquiries, and respond in a timely manner.

About the Requirements

  • You have completed 1-3 years of a post-secondary degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel and Word), detail-oriented, and able to work accurately on multiple assignments on a timely basis.
  • Ability to work independently in a demanding changing environment and remain flexible on priorities.
  • Comply with all ENGIE policies and procedures.
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both written and verbally.
