Radiologic Technologist/Mammographer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist/Mammographer to join our team at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality Radiographic and Mammographic images under the guidance of the Radiology Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Diagnostic Mammography Tech/X-Ray examinations following department protocol and utilizing technical factors to ensure the highest quality result within ACR guidelines.
  • Produce copies of Radiographic & Mammographic images as needed, of film or CD.
  • Follow Radiation safety procedures on all exams keeping them ALARA.
  • Appropriately utilize shields to reduce exposure to patients.
  • Set technical factors to reduce patient exposure and produce high-quality images.
  • Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance testing on the Mammography unit as mandated by the state of Massachusetts and ACR.
  • Rotate and cover shifts as department and patient care needs change.
  • Interact with patients and other staff in a manner that reflects respect for the needs and concerns of the individual.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of the AMA Approved Radiologic Technology Training Program.
  • ARRT and the State of Massachusetts registered in good standing, both in Radiography and Mammography.
  • Certification and clinical experience in Mammography.
  • CPR Certified and ability to maintain on an annual basis.
