Job Description
Teacher in Residence (TiR) Program Overview
KIPP Miami's Teacher in Residence program is designed to provide aspiring teachers with hands-on experience and the certification needed to become exceptional educators at our world-class schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced lead classroom teachers to develop lesson plans, teach, and reflect on lessons, as well as assess and collect data to inform instruction.
- Build strong relationships with students and families to become an integral part of the school community.
- Provide small group instruction and support students' academic growth.
- Assist with diagnostic and progress monitoring testing across the school.
- Communicate effectively with families about student progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for teaching and learning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
