American Leadership Academy is seeking applications for the position of Inclusive Education Specialist (K-6) for our Elementary campuses.
Candidates must hold valid certification, be highly qualified, and possess an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.The selected candidate will collaborate closely with general education instructors and administrative staff to create tailored strategies that address the unique needs of each student within their caseload.
For those who are not yet certified as a Special Education Teacher but are interested in pursuing certification, we offer support in covering the costs associated with obtaining certification through the Post-Baccalaureate Special Education program at Rio Salado.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting students with significant behavioral and emotional challenges
- Adapting and developing daily instructional methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Creating approved lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and assisting in the development of lesson plans for inclusive students.
- Maintaining consistent communication with parents, administrators, school psychologists, and other professionals to organize and plan IEP and evaluation meetings.
- Serving as the IEP facilitator and collaborator between special education and general education staff.- Collecting relevant information from team members and drafting, revising, or updating IEPs and existing data reports.
- Completing report cards and progress reports to monitor each student's development.
- Assisting other professional staff in identifying and implementing interventions for students involved in the Student Study Team process.
- Keeping accurate student data to ensure the school-wide grading system is current and to track IEP goal progress.
- Participating in professional meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops to enhance professional skills.Candidates who possess the following attributes will excel within our dynamic team:
