About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at ScionHealth - Community Care Hospital Division. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will be responsible for patient safety, welfare, and the implementation of therapeutic milieu and treatment plans.
  • You will serve as a patient observer on a patient care unit, providing close monitoring and support to patients who require a high level of observation.
  • Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficiency on the nursing unit.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of collegiate coursework in general psychology, interpersonal communication, abnormal psychology, and/or human growth and development preferred.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred, Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire.
