We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Faculty Member to join our team at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and teaching activities.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Actively precept as a teaching physician in the resident outpatient clinics, teaching patient care aspects and procedural skills, time management skills, doctor-patient relationships, professionalism, ethical and legal considerations, billing and coding.
- Third On-Call Coverage: Provide on-call coverage to support the needs of our patients and residents.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and facilitate core curriculum conferences for the residency program.
- Sensitive to Diversity: Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
- Medical Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited medical school program.
- Residency Training: Successful completion of a residency training program.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine at time of hire.
- Licensure: Licensed to Practice Medicine in the State of Illinois.
- Participation: Participate in Inpatient Medicine Service.
- Paid Time Off: Includes 13 paid holidays per year. Accrual rates vary based on employment type and years of service.
