Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate documentation to ensure accountability and precise charging.
- Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care needs, including education, according to hospital and endoscopy policy procedures.
- Administer medication pre, intra, and post-procedure.
- Demonstrate a high level of technical and operational expertise in performing endoscopy procedures.
- Establish a physical environment conducive to the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.
- Assume responsibility for all coverage, weekly hours worked, and assigned committee tasks.
- Assume responsibility for professional development through continuing education and inservices.
- Anticipate and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and medications while controlling costs and eliminating waste.
- Demonstrate proficiency in hospital information systems, including Meditech.
- 2 years of endoscopy experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
