RETTEW is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist/Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Williamsport or State College, PA. This individual will serve a key function in managing environmental projects, delivering technically excellent services, preparing technical proposals and reports, preparing environmental permits, conducting environmental research and analyses, and supervising field investigations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage environmental projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects, utilizing quantitative and technical skills.
- Supervise field activities, ensuring accurate interpretations of findings and effective communication with clients.
- Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
- Effectively organize, write, and edit draft proposals, reports, and other documents, showcasing technical expertise.
- Participate in business development, identifying and pursuing new clients, and developing additional work within existing projects.
- Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments, coaching, training, and motivating them to achieve success.
- Coordinate with other work groups across office locations and disciplines as needed, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others, fostering strong relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering; Master's degree a plus.
- 6+ years of related work experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Tested client relationship(s) and proficiency in aquatic resource delineations and crossing permit preparations.
- Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software, with demonstrated ability to perform complex analyses.
- Comprehensive understanding of Pennsylvania regulatory requirements and excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and judgment capabilities, with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task effectively, manage multiple projects and clients, develop and manage project budgets, and effectively manage and coach staff.
