This position is based in our facility and may involve occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain digital procurement records, including details on purchased items or services, costs, delivery schedules, product quality, and inventory levels.
- Process purchase orders based on requisitions and MRP notifications, ensuring accurate data entry into the system.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and delivery terms while upholding quality standards.
- Monitor purchase orders to guarantee timely supplier deliveries and ensure that all reports reflect accurate costs and relevant information.
- Verify that all received products meet company standards and negotiate replacements for any materials that do not conform to specifications.
- Review invoices and receiving documents for accuracy to facilitate payment processing.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Are You the Right Fit?
- 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing role.
- A minimum of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution or equivalent training and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex industry-related documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively address inquiries, including sensitive issues.
- Familiarity with purchasing policies and procedures.
- Proficient in managing deadlines, multitasking, and maintaining attention to detail in tracking orders.
- Ability to work independently while understanding the scope of responsibilities and timelines.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Experience in directing material movement and logistics with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
