RxSight, a leading ophthalmic medical technology corporation, seeks a highly skilled Principal Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and lifecycle support of medical device software for the Light Delivery Device (LDD). As a subject matter expert, you will assume responsibility for embedded software applications, including control systems, integration of various subsystems, and user interface development.

Responsibilities
  • Software Design and Implementation: Develop software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment, incorporating GUI, controlling software, algorithms, and integration with subsystems.
  • Software Development Life Cycle: Participate in all phases of software development, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Technical Leadership: Plan, lead, and execute efforts to architect, design, develop, maintain, upgrade, port, and verify/qualify Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) code, Board Support Package (BSP) code, OTA update code and methods, and embedded product software.
Requirements
  • Embedded Systems Expertise: Possess expertise in embedded, real-time applications, capable of software design and coding with a focus on testability, robustness, and performance.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in developing software on multiple platforms using C# and C++ and other programming languages, with working knowledge of ARM Processors, 8051 Microcontrollers, and other embedded architectures and interfaces.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Experienced in software development lifecycle, design controls, and unit testing.
