Job Summary:
This role requires a Respiratory Care Specialist to provide educational support and clinical expertise to respiratory clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory issues related to respiratory services. The specialist will work closely with our team to develop and implement new respiratory services, promoting patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain individual care plans, orders, and other components of the client record, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and department medical record policies.
- Provide instruction to patients/caregivers on care, treatment plans, respiratory equipment, and CPR as required.
- Teach patients how to maintain their clinical care and when to report certain signs and symptoms.
- Set up related D.M.E.P.O.S. and give detailed instructions to the client and/or caregiver(s) in the proper and safe use of the equipment in compliance with local, state, federal regulation as well as Joint Commission standards.
- Assist in developing respiratory specific programs and standards of care.
- Integrate problem-solving methodology and quality improvement in approaching problem areas related to patient care and organizational processes.
- Evaluate processes related to respiratory services and ensure conformance to organization policy and procedures and governmental regulations.
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints promptly, demonstrating commitment to the principles of outstanding customer service.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate from a one (1) or two (2) year accredited respiratory care program and passed CRTT or RRT exam.
Experience: Two (2) years of home medical equipment and ventilator experience strongly preferred.
Certification/Licensure: National Board of Respiratory Care CRT or RRT; current State of New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner License. BCLS certification required. Valid Drivers License required to travel throughout New Hampshire to provide Home Health Services.

Salary Range: $68,000 - $88,000 per year.
