Summary: Substitute teachers play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education by stepping in for regular staff during their absence. They must exhibit flexibility and adaptability to engage with various age groups and educational settings. Proper certifications are essential to ensure a safe environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

General Duties:

• Comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate respect towards all children, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios in educational settings.
• Be physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting and moving swiftly.
• Address challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
• Engage in classroom maintenance and tidying activities.
• Assist lead educators in organizing and sustaining the learning environment.
• Follow instructions from Lead Teacher and administrative staff.

Child Interaction:

• Support educators in facilitating children's activities.
• Participate in play and learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.
• Provide emotional support and foster positive self-esteem among children.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of all children in care.
• Implement suitable disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Serve as a positive role model for children.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual capabilities.

First Aid Certification.

CPR Certification.
