Job Title: Optician - Eyewear Specialist

Job Summary:

The Optician - Eyewear Specialist is responsible for delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear that exceeds our customers' expectations. This role requires strong optical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets all customers with a warm welcome and ensures they know what to expect.
  • Custom fits glasses and precisely places prescriptions in lenses.
  • Acts as a leader in optical acumen and provides a voice for associates.
  • Takes and records measurements, adjusts or fits eyewear correctly, and ensures finished eyewear meets standards and customer requirements.
  • Attracts new customers and explores their needs and priorities.
  • Is attentive to details, asks follow-up questions for clarity, and reviews prescriptions and identifies special needs.
  • Assists co-workers with difficult or complex areas of product needs and prescriptions.
  • Utilizes store tools and adheres to Brand Store Commitments.
  • Performs work accurately and thoroughly utilizing all technology despite time pressure and customer volume.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • ABO Certification.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills - ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embrace new technology and change.
