Director of Nursing/Wellness Director Position at Appian Management

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Appian Management. This full-time position requires around 40 hours per week. As a Director of Nursing/Wellness Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Collaborate with Care Coordinators to manage staff assignments efficiently, ensuring a well-organized and productive work environment.
  • Medication Administration: Supervise medication administration and delegate responsibilities once staff are trained, maintaining the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Resident Support: Ensure a registered nurse is always accessible to provide support and guidance to residents and their families.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between community, family, pharmacy, and physician regarding medication, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
  • Medication Management: Enforce policies for the proper storage and disposal of medications, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Resident Assessments: Conduct resident assessments, create/update service plans, and communicate changes promptly, ensuring individualized care plans.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate and monitor care provided by external providers, ensuring high-quality care and services.
  • Staff Training: Train and oversee all caregivers, resolving conflicts professionally and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Care Budgeting: Manage care budget effectively to stay within budget limits, ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Marketing and Sales: Participate in marketing and sales activities, conduct pre-admission assessments, and provide professional tours to potential residents and families.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all State Rules and Regulations, staying updated and cooperating with audits, ensuring compliance and quality care.
  • Family Communication: Maintain open communication with resident family members to address any concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
