Winter Park Resort is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Terrain Park Snowcat Operator. This seasonal position involves working overnight to ensure the creation and maintenance of an exceptional terrain park experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections of snowcats and related equipment
  • Engage in nightly team briefings
  • Receive and execute assignments from the Terrain Park Grooming Supervisor
  • Understand and achieve nightly maintenance goals for the terrain park
  • Safely operate grooming machinery
  • Maintain and enhance terrain park features
  • Transport and install terrain park rails and snow structures
  • Assist with handwork around terrain park features as necessary
  • Support trail groomers in executing the nightly maintenance plan
  • Complete additional snowcat projects as directed
  • Fuel equipment following safety protocols
  • Perform post-operational checks on machinery
  • Keep accurate logs of equipment usage
  • Report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff
  • Maintain cleanliness in work and shop areas
  • Foster a positive work environment throughout the season
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid motor vehicle driver's license
  • At least 2 years of experience operating snowcats is preferred
  • Experience with half pipes or Zaugg machinery is a plus
  • Strong understanding of terrain park terminology and practices
  • Ability to ski or ride terrain park features is advantageous
  • Reliable transportation for non-standard work hours
  • Punctuality and adherence to the work schedule
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • First aid certification is preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Capability to remain seated for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity for operating hand tools
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members
