We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital.

About the Role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will coordinate and deliver respiratory care services, including diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, to patients with respiratory conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
  • Monitor patient response and notify providers as necessary
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within 90 days of employment
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of employment
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification
  • Associate Degree
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Eligible (RRT)
