We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team.
The Medical Assistant is a key component of our care team, working closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience.
As a Medical Assistant, you will oversee the full spectrum of the patient experience, acting as a Medical Receptionist and assuming clinical responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked
- Review previous medical information and gather updated health information from patients
- Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures
- Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations
- Partner with the care team to develop individual patient plans of care
- Perform front desk duties, including patient scheduling, medical record requests, and documentation
We are looking for a Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience in primary care, preferably with a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred, and CPR/BLS certification is required at the time of hire.
Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
