Job Title: Material Handler - St. Petersburg, FL

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Scribe OpCo Inc dba Koozie Group. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting materials, moving materials to and from production areas, and maintaining inventory and related warehouse information.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, including checking for accuracy and quality.
  • Move materials to and from production areas, using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Maintain inventory and related warehouse information, including updating computer records and performing cycle counting.
  • Load and unload trucks, and operate material handling equipment to move skids to and from work areas.
  • Store stock received in warehouse locations corresponding to the warehouse computer, and maintain stock levels in designated areas.
  • Transfer finished goods from plant floor to warehouse locations, and update warehouse computer daily.
  • Provide Accounting department with information on how many shippers used that day in production, and fill orders to ship bulk.
  • Keep Kanban cards updated and add new ones if needed, and provide Purchasing with on-hand shipper reports weekly.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent or reading, writing and math skills of the same.
  • Ability to effectively use power jack, pallet jack, electronic counting scale, 2-wheel hand cart, computer terminal, ladder, reach truck, order picker, RF data collection gun, automatic shrink wrapper.
  • Forklift and clamp truck experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs.
  • Strong math and organizational skills.
  • An understanding of materials flow are preferred.
  • Computer knowledge required.
  • Must perform job with a high level of accuracy, follow standard procedures for completing inventory transactions and have strong problem solving skills.
