Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to create and enhance internal tools that facilitate the operations of our service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing internal applications using Go to streamline service team workflows.
- Collaborating across various functions with development, operations, and product teams to align on priorities and promote effective utilization of development resources.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Contributing to the creation of configuration management scripts and deployment tools, including Chef and Jenkins.
- Utilizing analytics platforms such as Splunk and Grafana, along with Ruby libraries, to enhance operational insights.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Go programming.
- Experience in leading feature development from design through implementation and support.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Strong understanding of Linux at the system level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on building positive relationships.
- Experience with deployment automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet, with a preference for Chef.
- Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Docker, AWS, Python, Gradle, Groovy, Artifactory, GCP, and/or Ansible.
- Experience with full software engineering lifecycle practices, including coding standards, testing, code reviews, and source control management.
- Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
Compensation: The expected pay range for this position is $67.24/hour - $89.66/hour.
