The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs diagnostic MRI examinations, following radiologist protocols, for evaluation and treatment by attending physicians. Provides radiologists with pertinent clinical information. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist demonstrates complete working knowledge of MRI scanner and related equipment. Performs routine protocols and positions patients correctly using appropriate coils. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist participates in the quality, process, and performance improvement initiatives as requested. Performs timely documentation in radiology computer systems. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist meets departmental performance expectations and Customer Service Standards of Excellence.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of MRI technology

Preferred: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field

Experience

Preferred: 2 years of hospital experience in a related field

Certifications

Required: ARRT (R) and MRI certified; Florida CRT licensure; American Heart Association BLS
