Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health System. As a key member of our cardiovascular lab, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograph exams and vascular tests using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and IDX billing scheduling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiograph exams and vascular tests using the EMR and IDX scheduling systems
  • Register all studies performed in the log book
  • Handle calls regarding emergency test add-ons and scheduling issues
  • Assist in the proper functioning of the cardiovascular lab, including maintaining clean equipment and re-stocking supplies as needed
  • Attend quarterly quality assurance meetings and in-services as necessary

Requirements:

  • High School or GED required
  • Technical Diploma Graduate of an accredited two year ultrasound program required
  • ARDMS (RDCS) credentials required and registry eligible vascular sonography (vascular credentials required within first year)
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current and valid BLS or CPR certification
