Medical Care Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Matron to join our team at UTHealth Houston. As a Nurse Practitioner in the Dunn Behavioral Sciences Center/HCPC, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients in a clinical setting, working under the direction of a physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, directs, and implements patient's plan of care.
- Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures.
- Makes medical recommendations and/or referrals.
- Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
Requirements:
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure issued by the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- PMHNP-BC - Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner required.
- Masters in Nursing as NP required.
