We are seeking a skilled Blending Technician to join our team at Meritech. As a key member of our Production Team, you will be responsible for blending, bottling, and packaging our proprietary hygiene solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Blend Liquid Chemicals: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to blend liquid chemicals and ensure the quality of our products.
- Product Sampling: Take product samples to verify the quality and consistency of our solutions.
- Documentation and Communication: Document process improvements and adjustments, and communicate with supervisors to ensure accurate documentation.
- Inventory Control: Assist with inventory control, ensure accurate posting of inventory transfers, and facilitate inventory cycle counting.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Communicate maintenance needs to supervisors and help facilitate repairs of equipment.
- Supply Chain Management: Work with supervisors to ensure that all demand for solution is fulfilled.
- Training and Development: Cross-train other team members in processes as required to ensure coverage of this department.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain liquid blending operations and area to SOPs.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in liquid/chemical blending and bottling.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Skills: Proficient in simple English reading, writing, and basic mathematics. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
- Physical Requirements: Able to regularly perform the following physical requirements, with or without accommodations:
- Frequently: Prolonged periods standing and moving about to perform repetitive tasks.
- Frequently: Manually perform repetitive tasks that require gripping, holding, moving, pulling, and lifting various mixing, packaging, and bottling materials with both hands.
- Frequently: Utilize hands tools, including, but not limited to wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, drivers, drills, hand saws.
- Frequently: Visually differentiate between multi-colored hoses, labels, bottles, boxes, and solution types.
- Frequently: Bend, lean, and crouch to inspect and maintain equipment.
- Frequently: Lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Frequently: Climb a flight of stairs to access blending tank.
- Compensation: Starting pay rate at $22.00/hour, plus monthly bonus program, payroll every other Thursday.
