Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will be integral to our operations, performing the following tasks:
- Accurately fill prescription orders, ensuring compliance with state pharmacy regulations.
- Label medications correctly, including necessary cautionary or auxiliary labels.
- Prepare various forms of medications, including liquids, powders, and ointments, and engage in non-sterile compounding as needed.
- Assist in the management of Emergency Drug Kit (EDK) boxes.
- Participate in regular inventory checks to maintain stock levels.
- Receive and stock medications and supplies, ensuring the removal of expired items.
- Process returned medications for credit or disposal.
- Perform order entry for new and refill prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by pharmacy standards.
- Address customer inquiries and provide assistance as necessary.
- Prepare IV prescriptions and engage in sterile compounding following established quality standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and compliance of the Sterile Compounding area according to industry guidelines.
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Skills:
Proficiency in computer operations is essential.
Behavioral Competencies:
