We are seeking a skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a member of our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2.5-3 years of experience in a pediatric intensive care unit, with a proven track record of delivering safe and effective patient care. A valid state license and current BLS certification are also required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, communicate effectively, and ensure seamless transitions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and stay up-to-date with best practices
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2.5-3 years of experience in a pediatric intensive care unit
  • A valid state license and current BLS certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and families
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
