Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) for security monitoring of various technologies, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Anti-Virus (AV), and Endpoint Security.
- Perform security event correlation, triage, and analysis to identify potential security threats.
- Apply Security Threat Intelligence to respond effectively to security events and incidents.
- Recognize and respond to compromised networks or systems from internal or external threat actors.
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving security monitoring and response capabilities.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Defense-in-depth security best practices and security engineering and architecture principles.
- Effectively communicate security issues to management and other stakeholders.
- Maintain security monitoring operational guidelines and standards.
- Incident Response:
- Perform incident response and forensic activities for internal and external threats.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, MSSPs, and external forensic services to respond to incidents.
- Ensure thorough investigation and remediation of identified security breaches.
- Document security incidents accurately and completely.
- Key Skills: DLP, Policy, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), SIEM, Security.
- Experience with Information Security, Network Security, and Security Monitoring and Incident Response.
- Working experience with industry-standard security technologies and services, including Firewalls, VPN, IDS, Endpoint Security, DLP, AV, Proxy, and SIEM.
- Strong experience with SIEM event/log analysis and correlation.
- Certifications such as GSEC, GCIA, GFE, GCFA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CIA.
- Network/System Administration experience/background.
