Position Overview:
The Financial Risk Assessment Analyst will play a crucial role within the deal team, focusing on underwriting, credit evaluation, and portfolio oversight. This position involves thorough analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends in the financial performance of various companies and sectors. The Analyst will participate in the preliminary evaluation of transactions, conduct due diligence, facilitate credit approvals, and assist in the negotiation of legal agreements. Additionally, the Analyst will contribute to assessing the organization's appetite for holding revolving credit and term loans. Experienced Analysts will also engage in client presentations to support cross-selling initiatives for hedging and other traditional corporate banking services.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a financial analysis credit training program.
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate banking, corporate credit, commercial banking, or capital markets.
- Prior experience with a major financial institution is highly desirable.
- A bachelor's degree with a focus on finance, economics, or accounting, showcasing outstanding academic performance.
- Exceptional analytical abilities related to business, financial, and credit assessments.
- Proficient in constructing complex three-statement financial models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Creative, insightful, and resourceful approach to tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in a high-pressure team environment.
- Strong capability to meticulously review, evaluate, and provide detailed insights on multiple projects in an organized manner.
- Ability to work independently while effectively contributing to team objectives through self-motivation.
