A Day in the Life of a Collector

The Collector works with our members to obtain payments or make payment arrangements on delinquent accounts. This role requires the ability to work in a busy call-center environment, making independent decisions and working with accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer/member service experience, preferably within a call center environment or financial services industry
  • Previous collections experience is strongly preferred
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • The ability to learn collections laws and regulations

Work Schedule and Benefits

The Collector will work a full-time, 40-hour per week schedule, including occasional Saturdays. RFCU offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical benefits, dental insurance, 401(k) with company match, and profit-sharing potential.
